I’m Alex and this is my blag.
I live in Sheffield, UK.
I am one third of the live coding band slub.
I’m a researcher in the OAK group, University of Sheffield, in part working on the Live Notation project funded by the AHRC.
I just about have a PhD in Arts and Computational Technology, which was supervised by Geraint Wiggins within the ISMS group. I’ll make the thesis available when I’ve made some minor corrections.
I’m co-founder of ChordPunch, an on-line record label promoting algorithmic music.
I’m co-founder of TOPLAP, a temporary organisation for the promotion of live algorithm programming.
I’m co-organiser of dorkbotsheffield, and latterly dorkbotlondon.
